How Designers are Illuminating Hospitality Spaces
From contemporary hotels to minimalist breweries, SONNEMAN helps designers imagine inspired places to gather
Endlessly scalable and undeniably modern, SONNEMAN lighting is specified by designers and architects far and wide. Oftentimes imagining our lighting in hospitality spaces designed for people to enjoy, our luminaires set the stage for everything from sophisticated, welcoming hotel dining spaces to bustling breweries. We’ve gathered a selection of our favorite hospitality spaces to inspire your next project.

Minimalist Design Moment
Previously an unoccupied warehouse space, Wondrous Brewing Company facilitates easygoing entertainment and customer enjoyment through its design. Plywood paneling and furniture punctuated by black steel details—including strategically placed Morii Pendants above the bar and seating areas—honors the adaptive reuse space’s past in minimalist, spatially streamlined expression.

Entertainment and Ease
With a luxury-feeling American design, the ornately designed dining and bar space at Spare Birdie in Austin, Texas—a newly introduced entertainment destination designed by Noack Little Architects—features an emerald green tile bar, walnut cabinetry and brass details throughout the space. Its expansive feeling is exemplified by our Suspenders Ring Chandelier with Ball Pendants dynamically draped from above.

Undulating Illumination
Designed by lighting architect Jackie Hiu, Luma Hotel in San Francisco, California creates a hospitable statement in its lobby by incorporating elements inspired by nature—oceanic inspired wall applications and walnut welcome desks—through a contemporary lens. The space’s series of Coral Surface Mounts exemplifies this paradigm: its varied and undulating luminaire pathways express a simultaneously organic modern and high-tech statement.
